Emmy-winning actor Peter Dinklage, renowned for his role in Game of Thrones, has been cast in the upcoming film Wicker, a darkly whimsical romance directed by Alex Huston Fischer and Eleanor Wilson. The film is an adaptation of Ursula Wills-Jones’ short story The Wicker Husband, and features Olivia Colman in the lead role.
Wicker tells the story of a reclusive fisherwoman who, tired of societal ridicule, commissions a basketmaker to create a husband made entirely of wicker. This unconventional relationship sparks outrage and chaos in her seaside village. Dinklage joins Colman, Alexander Skarsgård, and Elizabeth Debicki in this unique narrative.
Principal photography for Wicker was completed in September 2025 in Budapest. The film is produced by Topic Studios and Tango Entertainment, with cinematography by Oscar-winner Lol Crawley.
Wicker is currently in post-production, with no official release date announced yet.
