Recently ‘Liberty Books’ has shared a video in which Shah Rukh Khan can be heard talking about his favorite books and his own library. The interview is definitely quite old. In the video clip, the actor says, ‘I read ‘Blink’ a long time ago, so I don’t remember every part of it, but as far as I remember, the book was about a competition, whoever blinks first loses.’ It’s outrageous to say, but there’s a discussion about taking over any business, anything, and making it successful.’
He then talked about Blake Snyder’s ‘Save the Cat’ series. Shah Rukh said, ‘Every time I read it, I find it equally interesting. Blake Snyder wrote ‘Save the Cat’ on screenplay. If someone wants to become a professional writer, I don’t know where Blake is, but I support this book the most. I really think the book is awesome.’ According to Shah Rukh, this is the best book he has read on screenplay.
He then picked up Walter Isaacson’s book ‘Steve Jobs’. In King Khan’s own words, ‘This is how it should be pronounced. This book has changed my thinking about business. I used to do many things at a time and then I realised one should always focus on one particular thing. So we changed them. We have stopped working on television and stopped some advertising work as well. No, we will only make films this time and work on visual effects.’ Shah Rukh further added, ‘There are many things I don’t agree with. But it is also true that who am I to disagree with Steve Jobs?’

In Shah Rukh’s words, “At that time I got many copies of the book because it was very popular. I saw the film. It was good though. Many people might not agree with me. But I liked the film. I thought overall it was quite interesting.” In conclusion, in the words of the actor, “And the book is still to be read. Now the second part is out. So read it and read it completely.”
